Three others whose fates are intertwined with The Prince's.
By IGN Staff

Life isn't always easy for royalty. The Prince from the Prince of Persia games has had a rough time of it and in the upcoming Prince of Persia 3 he will be having even more problems that need tending to. After his earlier adventures, we're sure that his future will be filled with traps and enemies and nasty situations. But there will also be other characters in the game who have their own fates to deal with. These are the secondary characters in Prince of Persia 3 and each one has his or her own story to tell. For your convenience we've collected those stories here so that when it comes time to play the game, everything will be all the more familiar.

Kaileena

Backstory:

Kaileena's origins remain a mystery, save for information gleaned from 'historical records' of rather dubious origins. The most common theory is that she was created by the gods - an unwitting byproduct of the creation of Time itself. An accident, if you will. But this is a rather esoteric approach to explaining her existence. It's also incorrect.

In truth, Kaileena is a Daeva; descended from a mythical race of creatures said to come from the hidden province of Aresura. This explains Kaileena's powers: her ability to foresee the future, to reshape people into monsters, to levitate and use powerful magic spells. But it does not explain how or why she came to reside on the Island of Time.

The Island of Time is a dark and isolated bit of land shrouded in mist and encircled by turbulent seas. Through a rather tragic (and ironic) series of events, Kaileena fled to the Island and built a grand fortress there - all in an attempt to ward off her untimely demise. For you see, she had glimpsed her future - and knew that one day The Prince would find and kill her. Too late she realized, she had not built a fortress, but a tomb.

He fought FATE itself - physically manifested in the form of a creature known as the Dahaka. And The Prince won, slaying the monster! Kaileena - who had spent centuries awaiting her end, suddenly found herself free. The Prince offered her a chance to begin life anew - in HIS time. Together, the two of them left the Island (and the past) behind them.

And so the story should be over: happily ever after. Unfortunately it's not that simple.

For Kaileena was a Daeva. And even in death she had power. As The Prince would learn during the adventure of Warrior Within, Kaileena's remains WERE the Sands of Time. In bringing Kaileena OUT of the past, he created a ripple effect: Without the Sands being created, they were never found by the Maharaja of India - never stolen by King Sharaman - never unleashed upon the unsuspecting people of Azad. History had been altered.

Personality:

As our story opens, Kaileena begins to sense that neither she nor The Prince have actually managed to escape their fates, merely switch the environments in which events would unfold.

But, for Kaileena, at least, the time for running is over. Her freedom, however brief, has helped her realize she spent too long trying to outrun the inevitable. All she can do now is try to minimize the damage done by their meddling. The desperate, bitter woman we met on the Island is now a calm and soothing force. She's the voice of reason - the voice of prophecy - And she will guide us through this tale.

Kaileena approaches events with a cool objectivity. She's an observer - a story teller. Because of her omniscient supernatural abilities, her perspective is 'wider' than that of any other character. Clearly she hopes The Prince will succeed in his endeavors - and this can't help but color her speech. But alas, she can no longer intervene. She - like us - must sit back - and hope for the best.

It's up to The Prince to finally set things right.

Farah

Background:

Farah has come to Babylon against her will. She thinks she seeks vengeance. What she truly seeks is absolution.

Imprisoned by a merciless invader who ravaged India, Farah was not simply locked up in a dungeon. Instead, she was placed inside a cage and carted around as one of his 'pets'. The humiliation she could deal with. What scarred Farah was being forced to watch as her city was destroyed while she was rendered completely impotent in the face of such a monstrous act. There was nothing she could do to save them. This guilt eats away at her - and motivates her quest once she inadvertently met The Prince in Babylon.

Farah seeks revenge. But she is frequently distracted from it by the suffering citizens of Babylon. She makes it her personal mission to ease their pain and rescue anyone she can. Some of her people are among the prisoners as well, having been dragged to Babylon during the invasion.

Personality:

Although events chronicled in The Sands of Time never occurred, seven years have still passed since we last knew Farah. Over time, she has become a little wiser - and has matured as a person.

She spends her days alternating between the pursuit of knowledge (and has taken an intense interest in politics and history) and honing her battle skills. She continues to favor the bow - considering distance combat far more effective. Graceful and quick, but lacking The Prince's acrobatic prowess, she's more than capable handling herself. And when overwhelmed, she's often able to escape, thanks to her superior running skills (and patented ability to squeeze through even the smallest cracks!).

Farah is quick-witted and clever. Having spent years amongst the nasty back-biting nobles of the Indian court, she's learned how to stand up to the cruellest of them. She's fiercely independent and resents any pretense of chivalry, which she views as nothing more than thinly veiled chauvinism. She aims to prove someday that women have just as much right to political power as men. Jai ho movie download mp4.

She is also extremely empathetic, and sensitive to the suffering of others. While this makes her a kind and caring person, it is also a weakness - sometimes distracting her from the bigger picture. While The Prince may be a bit too concerned with killing his enemy, Farah has forgotten that in order to TRULY end the suffering of both the Persians and the Indians - she will have to face this monster.

The Old Man

Backstory:

Since childhood, the Old Man has looked after The Prince, treating him like his own son. The Prince's natural father - King Sharaman - was often too busy waging wars and building empires to properly look after his child, so he sought the wisest man in the kingdom to care for his pride and joy. While The Prince's friends have come and gone over the years, the Old Man has stayed true to our hero, showing unflinching devotion and dedication. He has also long been The Prince's mentor.

In Warrior Within we saw from The Prince's interaction with the Old Man, that he held him in the highest possible regard. It was therefore quite unsettling when The Prince decided he knew more than his mentor and set forth on a journey the Old Man warned him would be impossible. But The Prince felt he had to do whatever was necessary to save his life.

And now - with the course of history altered - what has become of the Old Man? Does he still live? Does his allegiance remain? What can he offer The Prince?
Only time will tell.

Personality:

The Old Man is careful and clever - worldly and wise. He is also something of a pessimist. He tends to assume the worst about people and events - and refuses to hold out hope under most circumstances. He's very direct in his words and actions. No beating around the bush or talking in cryptic riddles.

Given his negative outlook on things (though the Old Man would insist he be called 'realistic'), it would take a very strong act, indeed, to sway this curmudgeon's world view. But dramatic change is The Prince's specialty.
